Hate
Those who know I’m a Kobe and Lakers fan may know why I’m writing this right now. I just want to say that hate is such a dysfunctional act. It serves nothing constructive but further puts you in a disruptive place. Sure, we all hate one thing or the other, but why express it in a public venue on such personal level?
Barbara DeAngelis says all emotions, when examined deeply, are based on fear. Take anger, hurt, jealous, sadness – if you take a real good look at why you feel the way you do, they all go back to some type of fear. Say you are jealous about someone. You are jealous, because you are afraid that person is somehow better than you. Maybe Barbara only meant all negative emotions, because I can’t think of how happiness roots back to fear.
So when you hate something, you are afraid of whatever it is you hate. The more you hate, the more it matters to you, because if it didn’t – if you didn’t care, it wouldn’t trigger any emotions in you. And if you do this openly, you are letting everyone know that you are insecure, and that you are immature enough to act on it.
I never hated Shaq but I sure lost a lot of love. Failed lab experiment. And just so I love Answer Man so much, here’s more.
As I always say, haters get no love!
