My Own Worst Enemy
I figure it’s about time I share my deepest darkest fears. Ok maybe not so dramatic. I’m talking about my unconscious fears, and how they frequently come up in my dreams. I had one of them last night. It’s elevators. I’m not kidding. As I said it’s unconscious, and I’m not scared of riding in them. I have this big fear of falling sensation, and I suppose that’s where it comes from. Like I’m not crazy about amusement parks, and it’s because I will not ride those roller coasters. Free falls? Not a chance.
So anyway I have these crazy elevators in my dreams frequently. They go up really high, and I’m always scared of it breaking and falling down. Sometimes they don’t stop at where I want to get off. They go sideways too. Yeah, like I’m going up, then all of a sudden it comes out of the building and goes sideways, making like a cable car.
Speaking of which, I’ve ridden ski lifts many times, but I’ve never had a single nightmare about them. Doesn’t that seem much scarier than elevators?
Last night was a good one. It was like a horror movie. I come out of one of these elevators, then I realize I have to ride another one, to get to where I’m going. As I’m about to get on, there’s three other girls in there, and I get this really creepy feel like they are ghosts or something. Kinda like those chiller moments from The Sixth Sense. So I decide not to get on, then I realize I have a real long way to walk. Then I start noticing people around me are weird.. they are looking like monsters, kinda like the Night of Living Dead. It was bizarre.
Another frequent nightmare is about trains. I don’t know if you know that Japanese train systems are very developed and complex. Isn’t it funny I have nightmares to this date, even though I don’t live in Japan anymore. Ok, so – in each train system, they usually have so many different lines and each line has several different kinds of trains. There’s one that stops at every station, there’s an express that skips a few, then a super express that only stops at one or two. Then there’s a couple of tricky ones. Like the one that stops everywhere till certain station then turns into an express, and vice versa. And the one that merges into a different line, going to a totally different direction. I think this is the one that gives me the nightmares. I can go on and talk about train stations and underground cities, but this’ll take a whole another entry.
I have nightmares about bathrooms too. It’s usually where I’m having difficulty finding one, or finding a normal functioning stall. I don’t know how much details I want to go into here, but I’ve seen some funky stalls. Like really small ones I can barely fit in, and ones with no door. But anyway, this one is usually just that I need to wake up and go to the bathroom..
So what about some sexy dreams? Sure I’ve had them. I had a nice steamy one with Adam Rodriguez in it. No, not to be confused with Alex Rodriguez, you know I’ve written before I don’t watch baseball. Anyway it was a while ago, and I forget the details, sorry. Having said all this though, I’d much rather have a good night’s sleep and not even remember any dreams, actually.
