11 Reasons Why My Blog Doesn’t Suck!

I was reading this article, 10 Reasons Why Your Blog Sucks.  Let me see if I can break this down.

1. You use syndicated content.
Nothing syndicated, 100% original content here.  I mean, I’m sure I can always go find some free articles, but why do that when I can always ramble about nothing?

2. Your blog is boring.
I’ll be honest, this can be quite the case.  In fact, I don’t particularly try to entertain you guys.  About the only topic I try not to talk about too often is Lakers, out of concern for my dear Laker hater visitors.  But the thing is, almost all of my clients mention my blog when I meet them, and I actually get complaints when I don’t write often enough.  So I’m not going to try to fix this, because who knows, I could make it worse.

3. Your blog revolves around your person.
Well.. the whole reason why my visitors visit my site is.. me.  Naturally, my blog tends to revolve about me.

4. Oh no, not your favorite music on auto-play!
No such luck.  I don’t like background music on any sites myself, so I wouldn’t do it to mine either.

5. You use clip art.
What?  Clip art?  Where?  I actually never thought to use one before.  But now that I think about it, I don’t see how it’s so bad?

6. I can’t find the post I want to read.
Categories – check, search box – check, and I even have a monthly archive!

7. Your writing totally sucks.
I know the feeling, typos and such.  But it’s really easy to avoid them, because these days, browsers have automatic spell check that underlines typos as you write.  It’s kind of hard to miss this.

8. You’re spinning articles.
I actually don’t know what other girls blog about.  I’m starting to think this article doesn’t apply to my business.

9. You post once a month.
I admit, there was a period where I had no activities while I was focused on another part of my life.  But when I write, I think I do more often than once a month, for the most part..  And that’s why I put on this nice widget on the sidebar that you can subscribe to my blog.  Also, you can follow me on Twitter and you’ll get my blog updates.

10. Your blog looks like 12023532989 other blogs.
C’mon now, this is the punch line?  Maybe this guy’s blog sucks!  Frankly, I don’t really care about the layout on a blog, as long as it’s easy for the eyes and easy to navigate.

And here’s my one last reason -

11. If you actually read this far on my “Blog” page, maybe it’s an indication that my blog doesn’t suck so bad.  You wouldn’t be here otherwise, no?
