All about technical stuff

I’m a real marketing junkie.  That includes advertising, linking, SEO, and of course, social media.  I talked about finally getting on Twitter.  Well, since, I’ve been discovering all kinds of tricks, plugins, widgets and gadgets to go around it.

Speaking of gadgets, I’m not a big gadgets person.  You know, the real, electronics kind.  I didn’t get my flat screen TV or DVR until about 2 years ago.  I’ve never bought a VCR or DVD player on my own; the ones I’ve had were either given to me or bought for me by other people.  I’ve never owned a Palm.  Well, I take it back, I had a Sony something – I forget what it was called.  But the only reason I had to settle for it, was because I couldn’t find a refill for the schedule book I had at the time.  It was very short-lived and remained under-utilized.  I don’t own an iPhone or Blackberry – my cell is pretty basic.  I don’t own an iPod, or GPS; I’m kind of my own walking GPS.  Everything I have is pretty basic.  But I love virtual gadgets.

So anyway, now I have a whole new set of virtual toys to play with.  That part may have been funner than the actual Twitter.  My blog is Wordpress, and they have endless plugins it gets addictive.  You may have noticed a few difference on this page in the last few days.  I’ve also upgraded my website stats counter, and now I get even better details.  You may be surprised at what kind of information I can see in my stats, ha ha!  But the funnest of all for me is SEO, especially when I start seeing results!

Ok was this geeky enough?  After all, I’ve been writing this blog during timeouts of the Lakers game, since the game’s been non-suspenseful from the very beginning.  And I do admit, I’ve been wanting to try out a new plugin on my blog so I had to come up with an excuse to write a new entry.
