Lakers matching their uniform.. short

I’ve been resisting the urge to write about the Lakers, because I don’t want to turn this into a Laker blog. Still, with the last few events, I gotta say something! Fist of all last night’s game against Boston. The only thing to giggle about was their uniform. I think the winner was Derek Fisher, I mean, check out those legs! Fortunately I was not home to sit and watch the whole game. I mean.. there’s nothing like sitting through the entire game that is painful to watch. I don’t need any depression! I think they proved that those shorts just don’t work for them. (But I think the authentic short shorts were even shorter and tighter than that?) Please stick to the long, drapey, sometimes below the knee shorts!

I will say I’m impressed with how they’ve been doing. Beating Phoenix for the second time this season was a nice Christmas present. Maybe shipping out Shaq was a good thing after all considering how he’s been doing lately. They may have won a couple more championships, but then Shaq would have started to slow down, and at that point to start rebuilding, Kobe would start getting old by the time they are done. Maybe Kobe’s outburst this summer was a big wakeup call for everybody. The management shows they do make good moves too, keeping and improving Andrew Bynum and adding Trevor Ariza! My new favorite guy. But they need to get more consistent.

Last season, on their road trip in Boston, Kobe was shooting free throws and the crowd was chanting “MVP, MVP!”. Of course that was pre-KG and I guess we won’t be hearing that anymore.
